The Te-Moak Diabetes Program is focused towards changing to Healthy Lifestyles through eating, exercising and modifying behaviors. The special diabetes program is funded through the Indian Health Service, Division of Diabetes and Treatment and Prevention. The program is in its 7th year of funding and focusing on various aspects of diabetes prevention.

The Te-Moak tribe has focused on prevention through a Walking Club, 5 A Day Fruits and Vegetables, Nutrition teaching, Exercise focusing, 28 day to Diabetes Control, Children’s Cookbook.

Diabetes Education Classes are held at the Diabetes Center 875 Railroad Street - 1st Thursday of each month 2 – 3 p.m. and 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Call 738-1111 for more information.

Diabetes Talking Circle is held at the Diabetes center 875 Railroad Street - 3rd Thursday of each month 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. For more information call 738-1111.
